Guidelines for submission of items:
VANetwork News is brought to you by VAs for VAs, so we encourage and appreciate your tips. Your “payment for this newsletter” is two tips per quarter, but the onus is on you to remember.
When considering submitting a tip, think of the following:
- What did you recently learn that helped your business?
- What has helped make you successful?
- What recent discovery have you made?
General Guidelines
- To submit an item for submission in VANetwork News, please send it to editor@VANetworkNews.com.
- We’ll include tips that will be useful to the industry in general, including requests for advice/information.
If your request or tip generates a lot of responses that all could benefit from we encourage you to compile the responses and send them to us in Word or in one Email. Please keep your question at the top and remove any unnecessary information – we just want the tips. You may include the name of the person who sent the response. The list will be published in a later edition and stored on our site at VANetwork News. - We will not post items that are self-promotional in nature (e.g., new courses, new books, articles printed, etc), or other announcements that may be seen as commercial only. We will be providing advertising options soon, stay tuned.
- Please keep items brief, no more than 200 words. The lesser, the better - people are more likely to read it in its entirety.
- Our posts are in tip format, we don’t want stories.
- We will post your name, plus your business name and URL if you have one. We will not publish bio information.
- We reserve the right to edit submissions.
- Submissions won’t be acknowledged, however if there is time and extensive edits are required, we might run the changes by you. Edits will only be made if they help improve brevity and clarity and we will remove anything thought to be self-promotional.
- When making a decision to post a submission, we will decide if the post would be of interest to our readers. Please don’t be offended if we choose not to post your submission.
- Items may be held over for future issues. This will depend on space and also how often you may have previously posted – we want to give everyone the opportunity. Generally we won’t be posting from the same people in consecutive issues.
- All contents of the postings are the responsibility of the posting party so please check accuracy and your spelling. We will not take responsibility for inaccurate information posted.
- Submission of any material confirms that you are able to give us permission to print the content of your message in our newsletter or on our website. Please do not send material that does not belong to you.
Guidelines for Posting of Recommendations
Recommendations for a particular product or service will be posted once only through the year. This does not mean we’ll post a recommendation by you of your services. Please contact the Editor to take out an ad to do this.
We do not like to publish self-promotional items, so please don’t send any in. The idea is for you to tell us about products or services that have helped you in your VA business – not what you can provide to others.
People found to be posting recommendations for their own products, services or websites will be banned from future posts.
Advertisements can be placed by emailing the Editor for details.
Please note:
- VANetwork News is for promoting the industry as a whole and is therefore not affiliated with any one particular group but is an informal avenue for Virtual Assistants and other interested parties.
- Submissions should be of interest to the VA community in general.
- Email addresses of posters in the newsletter should not be added to any lists, or for individual, mass or unsolicited promotions.
- Files should not be included with emails to posters unless requested.
